Nice and magnificent hotel, had fantastic stay.

The staff was absolutely fantastic, provided an early check-in and a late check-out. We were upgraded to triple room on check in. Traditional decor, terrace, a lounge area, and a coffee table. The public parking was nearby, exceptional service...

The room had a balcony which was beautiful. Such a SUPERB hotel - easy walk to everything.

The location is unbeatable and pleasant, 10 minutes' walk to a large square. The atmosphere of the hotel is elegant. The property rooms are cool and spotless with modern bathroom, really comfortable beds, for instance.

First of all you must not forget that it is a 4 star top and therefore the service must be 4 star top. From my point of view as far as its architecture (inside because they were fixing the facade) I liked its gilded and carpets, its paintings in the dining room; the attention from the person who receives you, reception, cleaning, bar, dining room, correct pool. The rooms are spacious and comfortable as well as the bathroom. The breakfast (I am Argentinean and I am used to coffee, juice and bread) is very good; juice, wine, champagne, cold cuts, cheese, salty food, vegetables, hot dishes, bread, etc. As for its location, for those who want to be in the center, it is excellent. The swimming pool is small, I calculate 8 meters by 3 meters. The hotel parking lot is 100 meters away. ).

The only thing that I complain about is the wifi signal at times was cut off (in two other hotels that I was in)

The mattresses that were too hard a few years ago were better quality, firm but soft. The decoration of the Lobby took away all the charmed that I had, without taste and even the ugly and dark bouquets without any taste that makes it look of another category. On the tables of the breakfast room please take out those ugly Chinese arrangements and put a single light flower in a vase or nothing. Also, those ugly areeglos to a hotel as beautiful and with history as El Avenida Palace . Change urgently the supplier or decorator and flowers that are worth the same in other types of arrangements and colors and remove those that are plastic or paper tables. Thank you very much.

The staff was friendly, helpful and spoke English. The breakfast buffet was decent. I wish I had booked two more nights there when we returned to Barcelona on the last leg of our trip. The location was perfect for starting walking tours of the city.

It wasn't their fault, it was mine, but they had two twin beds pushed together as a king. When making the reservation, I didn't understand this is what would happen...

The terrace and rooftop views are great, excellent location on a wide road, very close to Plaza Catalunia, and very close to Paseo de Gracia and Las Ramblas, excellent for walking and shopping, and there are very good tapas bars on the corner of the hotel.

The system they have of giving the key every time you leave and asking for it again every time you enter, because generally there are delays in the delivery of the same as there are usually tourists consulting or checking in.They should modify the locks to magnetic cards.And in the gym there were some very young children who came out of the pool wet and used the machines, there was no hotel staff in this area, to make them notice that it was wrong to use the facilities in this way. I guess there was no one there because it was raining the day this happened.

Wonderful location - just in the centre of the city, nice clean rooms, good comfort, nice bars right at the hotel

Not very helpful and friendly personnel, no own parking place (however you will be advice with the affiliate parking nearby at the rate about 24 euro per day), windows to the street could be a bit noisy, free of charge Wi-Fi only in the lobby, connection is slow.

Very clean hotel the attention of the excellent staff, very good and complete breakfast the hotel is located a few blocks from the Ramblas of Barcelona

first night they gave us the room that faced the interior of the building and in the room it was very hot and there was a window and no air flow. We could not breathe from the heat and asked if we could turn on the air conditioning and they answered that it was not for heating because it was very cold and only they would have the heating at night from 21:30 and we asked to change room the next day we changed to a room with more air and heating is only managed by the hotel we would not return to the hotel just because we could not manage the heating or air conditioning. Being a 4 star hotel I don't think the guest can't handle the air conditioning or heating in the room

very expensive to use the hotels computers, if you don't have your own laptop. Very expensive beakfast, very few bathroom products -only soap and sampoo- bathrooms need to be renovated, they are quite old

We loved the daily cake in the lounge and the delicious breakfast every morning that fueled our adventures! The rooftop pool was a fantastic spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. We enjoyed the sun terrace too. The pool did get a bit crowded when the weather was nice, but it didn't take away from our great experience. 🌞

very nice staff, excellent location, lovely room, comfortable beds.

Only drawback was noisy music from the bar late at night, and mcuh too expensive breakfast. We ate breakfast at a bar in the neighbourhood.
